[PRIVATE THREAD] - for you, a dream of memories; for me, a sleepless tomorrow
[It happens early one morning. Meridian is doing what it normally does after having lost its pillar - it's trying to live on, despite the changes. Despite the red sky, and the knowledge that most everything is lost...The sky is slowly lightening to a brighter crimson, pale violet clouds starting to sweep across the horizon.
It's at this point that a portal opens on the east side of the city, near a ruined and crumbling building. What comes out is a small, blue-haired girl wearing a black cape. She stumbles, trips over her own two feet momentarily, and ends up on the sidewalk in an ungraceful heap.
By the time she stands back up, the portal is gone. From the look on her face, this really WASN'T where she'd planned to go - and from the way she whirls around, expecting the portal to still be there, she hadn't planned on being stranded here either.]
You've got to be kidding me - I'm gonna get grounded for this if I ever get home! Oh, this is just great...
[She sighs, annoyed, and starts walking around, exploring the surroundings.
Bother?]

[... He stops when he sees her, blinking in surprise. Female? He's seen pieces of Abel incarnate in females before, but -]
[Something more important catches his attention, though. The black cape. Black, not white. Could that mean... ?]

So instead, she tries to call the portal back out. ...And...NOTHING. A whole lot of nothing, even.
It's at this point she starts ranting...basically at the air where she tried to summon that portal.]
Oh, COME ON! I know I haven't used magic all that much before, but I'm not THAT bad at portals! Open up already, I've gotta get going---
[And then she hears the geta clack. Dreading what she'll see, she nonetheless turns around. Yep, it's Naoya.]
Uh, oh, hey, Nao-nii! [...He wasn't supposed to go through the portal with her, though.] This was an accident. I guess something went wrong with the portal...sorry.
[She looks down at the ground and toes at it with one of her feet, feeling awkward. Nice job being the Queen of Bel, Asa. Nice job.]

I'm that far off course?! Oh, great...
[Aim for the demon world, end up in...what WAS this place anyway? Tentatively, she reaches up to her headphones, closing her eyes in order to concentrate better. Come on...
... Nothing.
Sighing, she opens her eyes again and looks at the Other Naoya. This is gonna be weird.]
Well, um, my name's Asako, I guess it's nice to meet you...again? ... What is this place?

[He considers how to best explain.]
This place is called Meridian. It seems as if it is another world. There are many people here, and they all seem to have been taken from their worlds save for a few. The locals, however, are not very free with their information.

...
...]
You said "taken." Does this mean I might not have messed up the portal?

[... No he's not snickering, why do you ask?]

[Asa is now four feet and nine inches of angry overderp. Rage!]

Either way, I'm supposed to be gathering an army in the demon world right now, so...so do you know how to get out of here?!
[X( Straight answers please!]
